Elisa visited us this afternoon. I think she is crazy about babies.

Pour mon deuxième WE a la maison, on a commencé à faire de l’art : j’ai utilisé mon pied pour ça. Réussi, non ?

Papa et maman voulaient que je les utilise aussi, mais je n’ai pas été très coopératif pour çà. « Quand tu seras plus grand », ils ont dit.

Daddy and mommy wanted me to use them as well, but I did not cooperate much. “When you’ll be grown up”, they said.

Ensuite on est allés écouter de la musique Country à Jupiter (enfin, moi ; les parents en ont plutôt profité pour manger des pizza et glaces !).

Then we went to Jupiter to listen to country music (Well, I did listen to music, as daddy and mommy rather came to eat pizza and ice cream!).

Tu sais papa, je suis en grande forme ce soir, pas très prêt à m’endormir…

You know, daddy, I am feeling very awake tonight, not really ready to go to bed…

Cette nuit, je n’ai pas fait de crise. Toujours les tétées toutes les 3 heures, mais j’ai dormi entre chaque. Les berceuses ne sont pas ancestrales pour rien ! Au petit matin, j’ai amorcé un début de colère, mais maman a dit « Ah non, tu ne cries pas », alors je me suis arrêté. Il faut comprendre, elle est fatiguée ma maman. Du coup, on est restés au lit jusqu'à une heure de l’après-midi ! Quand papa est rentré du labo, on venait juste de se réveiller pour une nouvelle tétée.

Last night I did not make any crisis. I was still feeding each 3 hour but I slept in between. Lullabies are not from old ages for nothing! Early morning, I started a crisis, but mommy said “No, no, no, you do not yell”, thus I stopped. I understood, you know, my mommy is tired. We then slept till one o’clock in the afternoon! When daddy came back from the lab, we had just woken up for another nursing.

Regardez comme je suis beau dans les habits que grand-mamie m'a tricotés. On dirait un grand Vizir! Pour le moment ils sont encore un peu grands, je pourrais les porter plus longtemps comme ça.

Do you see how nice I look in the clothes than great grand mother knitted for me? I look like a great Vizir! For the moment they still are too loose, I could wear them longer in that way.

Encore une nuit agitée… On a réussi à dormir mieux au petit matin.

Another busy night… We managed to sleep better early in the morning.

Aujourd’hui, Hilde-Gunn nous a rejoints à Café Raj pour le repas de midi puis on est rentrés tous les trois ensemble à la maison. Hilde-Gunn m’a chanté une berceuse en Norvégien et j’ai adoré rester dans ses bras tout le long de sa visite. Elle a donné un tuyau a maman pour guérir mes petites fesses toutes rouges : le sèche-cheveux, ça marche du tonnerre de Brest ; j’aime bien Hilde-Gunn, moi ! Maman tu as encore oublié de prendre des photos ; mais où as-tu la tête ? Il faudra y penser, quand Hilde-Gunn sera de retour de Maui (la veinarde!).

Today Hilde-Gunn joined us in Café Raj for lunch, then all three of us came back home together. Hilde-Gunn sang a lullaby in Norvegian for me and I loved staying in her arms all along her visit. She gave a trick to mommy to cure my little red butt: the hair-dryer, it kicks asses! I like Hilde-Gunn! Mommy you forgot to take pictures again; but where is your head? You’ll have to do it when Hilde-Gunn will be back from Maui (lucky her!).

Ce soir Alejandro et Susan sont venus à la maison pour le dîner. Susan est enceinte de 4 mois, ils avaient plein de questions pour papa et maman. Alejandro m’a tenu dans ses bras au moins une heure, Susan veut qu’il s’entraîne ! Il sentait drôlement bon…

J’ai dormi comme un ange pendant toute la soirée, j’aime être bercé par le bruit des voix.

Tonight Alejandro and Susan came home for diner. Susan is 4 month pregnant; they had a load of question for daddy and mommy. Alejandro held me in his arms for more than one hour, Susan wants him to train! He was smelling so good…

I slept like an angel the whole evening; I love being lulled by voices.

Papa et maman ont fini par comprendre que je dors mieux quand je sens qu’il y a de la vie autour de moi, plutôt que dans le silence total. Alors, ils ont branché l’ordi de maman dans la chambre et ils ont joué les CD de berceuses que Bassem et Hana m’ont offerts, une bonne partie de la nuit. Merci Bassem et Hana pour ce merveilleux cadeau.

Daddy and Mommy finally understood that I sleep better when I feel life around me; I don’t like silence! Thus then plugged mommy laptop in the bedroom and played the Lullabies CDs that Bassem and Hana offered me, during a big part of the night. Thank you very much Bassem and Hana for this wonderful gift.
